Gas Aggregation Program

New Franklin residents can take advantage of Summit County's Natural Gas Aggregation program which was developed to save money on your natural gas bills. NOPEC - Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council has been selected by Summit County to provide the natural gas through the aggregation program.

To enroll in NOPEC's Natural Gas Program, contact NOPEC's Customer Care Line at 855-667-3201 (855-NOPEC01). For more information, visit the NOPEC website.

Electric Aggregation Program

New Franklin residents can take advantage of Summit County's Electric Aggregation Program. Beginning May 2025, the electric supplier will switch from Energy Harbor to Dynegy through at least May 2026.  For further information, residents can contact Dynegy at 1-833-241-4599 or visit dynegy.com. If you were part of the Energy Harbor Aggregation Program, you will be automatically included in the new program unless you opt out. Letters were recently sent to residents in March 2025 by Dynegy with additional information and instructions.

To stay in the electric aggregation program (if you are already enrolled), no action is required. 

To OPT-OUT of the aggregation program, you can:

  • Return the opt-out form mailed to you by April 7, 2025
  • Call Dynegy at 1-833-241-4599
  • Or opt-put online at dynegy.com/optout

If you opt-out, you will need to select a new electric supplier of your choice. Visit energychoice.ohio.gov for more information and to compare rates and suppliers.
