The New Franklin City Council has scheduled a public hearing for WEDNESDAY, MAY 17, 2017 at 6:00 PM to hear and address public comments on the following: Ordinance Number 17-O-01 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CERTAIN SECTIONS OF THE NEW FRANKLIN ZONING CODE TO SHIFT RESPONSIBILITY FOR CONDITIONAL USE REVIEW AND APPROVAL TO THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION AND DECLARING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY UPON PASSAGE. The public hearing will be held at the New Franklin City Hall, 5611 Manchester Road, Akron, Ohio 44319. Full text of the Ordinance is available for public viewing in the New Franklin Planning and Zoning Office, 5611 Manchester Road, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday-Friday, or here.
The City of New Franklin is taking applications for open alternate positions on the Board of Zoning Appeals and the Planning & Zoning Commission. Must be a resident of the City with a preferred background in construction, architecture, real estate or related experience.
